The Essence of Now: Lessons from Guruji

Before meeting Guruji, I had the opportunity to speak with Aham shoonyam foundation members about their experiences with him. Each of them shared their perspectives with sincerity, and I listened attentively, trying to form an understanding based on their insights. However, when I eventually met Guruji, I realized that my personal experience of him was quite distinct and could not be fully captured through others’ descriptions.

My interaction with Guruji led me to perceive him in a multifaceted way. He embodies the qualities of a well-wisher, a teacher, and a guide, while also providing a sense of steady. In his presence, there is a natural openness that allows for asking questions, gaining clarity, and engaging in meaningful learning without hesitation.

In addition, Guruji has played a significant role in helping me understand the fundamental essence of life. Through his guidance, I began to appreciate the importance of being fully present in the moment. His emphasis on awareness—on simply acknowledging “I am here, now” and recognizing one’s own existence—brought a deeper sense of clarity and grounding to my perspective.

This understanding has gradually influenced the way I approach both thoughts and experiences, encouraging a more conscious and attentive way of living. Rather than being preoccupied with the past or future, I have learned to value the present moment as it is, with greater acceptance and awareness.

One of the most notable aspects of being around him is the sense of composure and balance he consistently maintains. He approaches situations with calmness and clarity, which creates an environment conducive to thoughtful reflection and understanding. Additionally, his ability to remain fully present and engaged in whatever he does reflects a disciplined and mindful approach to life.

Overall, my experience with Guruji has been defined by clarity, learning, and a sense of steady guidance. His presence encourages both intellectual growth and a deeper awareness of one’s own perspective.
